STAGE TWO WORKSHOP
Where Have I Been? Where Am I Going?

Stage Two workshops are designed for accomplished teachers in the middle years of their career arcs. Ideal Stage Two workshop participants have mastered most of the essential craft components of teaching — developing lessons, assessing students, managing the classroom, conducting effective parent-teacher conferences, and so forth — while recognizing that there is always room for improvement. It is normal for these teachers to wonder what will keep a school career fresh, challenging, exciting, and rewarding.

The next chapters of careers among promising Stage Two teachers might be spent investigating individual topics of interest: refining areas of expertise to share with other teachers; a stronger role in mentoring and development of early-stage teachers; broader roles in non-teaching aspects of a school, such as admission, team leadership, or parent education; and next steps to leadership responsibilities and positions, such as division headship.
