Stage One Workshops

Stage One workshops are designed for teachers who have taught for two to five years — the first segment of their career arcs. Ideally Stage One participants have built skills in the elements of teaching: designing lessons, managing the classroom, the basics of assessment, and conducting parent-teacher conferences.

The next stages of a career among promising early-stage teachers might be spent investigating individual topics of interest: conflict resolution; deeper integration of technology, greater understanding of students with learning handicaps; and next steps to leadership responsibilities and positions, such as dean, division head, admission director, or eventually head of school.
